Since 2002 I have been registered as general practitioner. In 2010 I started to work at GP practice Dapperbuurt, together with my colleague Saskia van Haeringen and our employees. Before I became a general practitioner, I worked for a long time in the medical care for mentally disabled people. This group still has my special attention. I am a general practitioner with a broad interest, and I like to know more about my patients than just the medical part. The context of an individual often also determines the well-being of that person, and improving health succeeds better if I know the whole situation.
